September 30, 2005: Workshop to Focus on Promotional Strategies for
Downtown (Hartford, CT) The final Downtown Revitalization Institute
(DRI) workshop of 2005, “Developing Promotional Strategies for
Your Commercial District” with Jane Jenkins, executive director
of the Downtown Boulder (CO) Business Improvement District, will be
presented on Friday, October 28th. The workshop will take place from
8:30am – 5:00pm, at Northeast Utilities Auditorium in Berlin,

June 13, 2005: Darien Designated A Connecticut Main Street Community
(Hartford, CT) Officials from the State of Connecticut will join representatives
of Connecticut Main Street Center (CMSC), the Town of Darien and Darien
Revitalization, Inc. to announce Darien 's designation as a Connecticut
Main Street Community. A press conference will be held this Thursday,
June 16 th at 11 AM at the Tilley Pond Pavilion to kick off the program,
to discuss what it will mean for the community, and outline what happens

May 9, 2005: Connecticut Main Street Center Announces New Staff (Hartford,
CT)
Connecticut Main Street Center (CMSC) announced today the hiring of
two new staff members. Dave Helmin has been named Business Development
Specialist and Ingrid S. Naumann is the new Office Manager. Both positions
have just been created. “We are in an exciting period of growth
right now,” said Executive Director John Simone. “With
the development of our Downtown Resource Center , CMSC is now able
to reach out to a growing network of downtown revitalization advocates

May 6, 2005: Connecticut Main Street Center Announces 2005 National
Accredited Main Street Programs (Hartford, CT) Connecticut Main Street
Center (CMSC) announced today that three local commercial districts
have been named 2005 National Accredited Main Street Programs by
the National Trust for Historic Preservation's National Main Street
Center. The Rockville Downtown Association (Rockville/Vernon),
Main Street Waterbury , and Upper Albany Main Street ( Hartford ) ,
all non-profit corporations, have been recognized for outstanding accomplishments

of 2005 Awards for Excellence in Downtown Revitalization(Hartford,

its 2005 Awards for Excellence in Downtown Revitalization. “We
